Halal Ads works on the following principle: you simply agree to display ads for other members and in return your ads get displayed on the websites of our  members. If there are 1000 members, your ads can potentially be displayed on 1000 or more different websites. This is because each member may display Halal Ads on one or more of his or her websites.

If you display member ads and visitors to your website click on these ads, you are rewarded with 10 click points for each click. That means by helping another member to get one click, you have given yourself a chance for ten clicks on your own ads.

Here is what you need to do to start advertising your websites:

1. Sign up for Halal Ads on the main website. It requires only your email address. Check your email inbox for your password.

2. Log in. You can change your password by clicking 'Reset Password'.

3. Click on 'Manage Advertisements' to place your ads.

4. For each ad, enter a title, website address and short description. Then press 'Place New Ad'. By default, your ad's status is 'Pending Approval'. If you ad is approved, you will be informed by email within approximately 24-48 hours in sha Allah. If your ads are approved, they can immediately appear in the Ad Gallery.

5. Now assign points to your ads. Enter a point value next to the ad and click 'Add Points'. Your ads must have points in order to appear as text ads on member websites. Each click uses 1 point.

6. Now you must display Halal Ads on any one of your websites. To start this process, click on 'Get Advertising Code'.

7. Customize the color scheme by using the color picker or by typing in color values. Hexidecimal color values or any valid CSS color value can be used such as 'orange'.

8. Click 'Generate Code'. Copy and paste the resulting code into any one of your websites. You can continue to paste Halal Ads code into as many websites as you want to. The more you display Halal Ads, the greater your potential to earn points for your own ads.

9. Open up a webpage in which you pasted Halal Ads. Click on any of the ads at least once. Now you have informed Halal Ads that you pasted the code successfully into your website. Now your own ads can begin appearing in the Halal Ads member network as text ads.

To properly display Halal Ads on your own site, ensure that your website has no problem displaying XHTML code. Halal Ads code has been thoroughly tested on both Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 3.0.6.
