1. Do I have to display other Halal Ads on my website in order for my ad for that website to be displayed?

    No, not at all. You must simply display Halal Ads on any website. It does not matter where.

2. Does my ad have to be related to Islam or do they have to be Islamic ads?

    No. It can be business related, personal or anything else that does not violate our ad policies.

3. Do I have to be a Muslim to advertise?

    No.

4. Do I have to pay anything?

    No. As long as you generate enough click points through showing other ads, you can credit these to your ads so they can be displayed. Your free Halal Ads account is automatically credited with a large amount of points (currently 500,000) which could last many years. That's 500,000 free clicks (with unlimited displays) for your ads and you pay nothing.

5. Do my ads have to advertise a business or e-commerce website?

    No. Any website can be advertised.

6. How can I track how many people are clicking on my ads?

    There are two ways:

A. You receive an email every time someone clicks on one of your ads.

B. Log into your account and view your ads. The number of clicks appears with each ad.

C. Halal Ads appends an HTTP GET variable (halalads=true) to your ad URL's. Therefore, no matter what server-side programming language you use, you can check if visitors are coming through Halal Ads by checking for this variable through your own website. (Note: This feature is not yet complete.)

7. When displaying ads of other members, can I filter out ads I don't want to appear?

    Yes. Keyword filters can be used to block ads with keywords you specify that appear in either the title, description or URL. (Note: This feature is not yet complete.)
